Restored lake of about 50 hectares where you have a good chance of seeing ledňáček říční.
Mjels Lake has been both drained and cultivated since the 1800s, but in 2006 it was restored as a lake. Birds quickly returned to the lake. There is a good path along the lake and and a couple of small platforms where you can get to the other side of the reeds. Among the birds you can encounter are ledňáček říční, hohol severní, sýkořice vousatá, rákosník obecný, potápka malá, volavka bílá and orel mořský.
There are parking lots at both ends of the lake. Click on a P in the map to get directions.
