Description

Agernæs is a peninsula and the northernmost point of North Funen. Flyvesandet is Funen's northernmost coast. Here is Storskoven forest on the coast with beautiful old straight beech trees. If you walk quietly down the trails, you may be lucky enough to see orel mořský. Best area for birding is the western side of Flyvessand. From a bird observation tower, there is a view of the entire Agernæs Flak, Æbelø and Nærå beach. Large parts are exposed at low tide and constitute one of Funen's largest wading areas.
