Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare sýkořice vousatá and there are nesting some other rare birds like bukáček malý , slavík modráček and hýl rudý. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example bělořit šedý , cvrčilka slavíková , racek černohlavý , orlovec říční and sometimes even rákosník ostřicový and rákosník tamaryškový.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like jespák obecný , jespák bojovný , jespák malý , jespák křivozobý , vodouš tmavý , vodouš bahenní and some other. Also you can observe chřástal kropenatý or Chřástal vodní.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching sýkořice vousatá and if you are lucky you can see wintering bukač velký or konopka žlutozobá .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: lyskonoh úzkozobý , kamenáček pestrý , vodouš malý , břehouš černoocasý , jespák rezavý , racek velký , rybák severní , rybák dlouhoocasý , vlaštovka skalní , moták stepní , racek Sabinův , rákosník ostřicový , rákosník tamaryškový and many others.

Access
The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
