Plateau du Gerny is an area of open fields surrounded by bushes. luňák červený and luňák hnědý are frequent. Annual observations of kulík hnědý, moták lužní, linduška úhorní and sometimes jeřáb popelavý on the ground. Rare visiors that have been observed in the area are linduška velká, linduška rudokrká, strnad bělohlavý, strnad zahradní, sněhule severní, dudek chocholatý, káně rousná, moták stepní, orel nejmenší, luněc šedý and poštolka rudonohá.

You can visit the main part of Plateau du Gerny by car but the eastern part is forbidden for cars. The circular route indicated on the map is about 8 km.
