Description
The Hasseltbos is a forest with undergrowth and with older trees such as beech. This makes the forest attractive to typical forest birds such as brhlík lesní, šoupálek krátkoprstý, strakapoud velký and even strakapoud prostřední can be admired there. There is a small piece of coniferous wood where you can hear and see králíček obecný and králíček ohnivý. The bushes are attractive to pěnice černohlavá, pěnkava obecná and slavík obecný (not annually). And including of course káně lesní.

Nederlands: Het Hasseltbos is een bos met oudere bomen zoals beuken en met onderbegroeiing die het bos aantrekkelijk maakt voor de typische bosvogels zoals brhlík lesní, šoupálek krátkoprstý, strakapoud velký en zelfs de strakapoud prostřední kan je er bewonderen. Er is een klein stukje naaldhout waar je dan weer králíček obecný en králíček ohnivý kan horen en zien. The Hasseltbos is located north of Geraardsbergen near the village of Ophasselt. Parking is possible along the public road Brambroek. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 2 km.
