Description

Only 15 km from Innsbruck, the Inzinger Gaisau is one of the last floodplains in the Inn Valley. It has ponds, woodlands, agricultural fields, wet meadows, reedbeds and borders the shores of the river Inn. This makes Inzinger Gaisau rich in habitats and therefore rich in birds.

Birds you can see here are drozd kvíčala, budníček větší, morčák velký, ledňáček říční, vodouš kropenatý, sedmihlásek hajní pěnice černohlavá, strakapoud malý and both šoupálek dlouhoprstý and šoupálek krátkoprstý and many species of tits. In winter sometimes you can encounter large flocks of stehlík obecný, čížek lesní, and in late winter pěnkava jikavec.

On the northern waters edge you have a good view on meadows and reedbeds. You can find bramborníček hnědý here and with some luck luňák hnědý.
