Description

Panshanger Park has a varied environment. Many interesting plants and insects. Among the birds you can spot in the area are woodpeckers, Cojoaică de pădure, Țiclean, Pitulice fluierătoare, Stufărică, Lăcar mic, Lăcar de stuf, Cârstel de baltă, Potârniche, Potârniche cu picioare roșii, Uligan pescar (on migration), Nagâț and gulls in winter.

Access

The car park is one mile west of Hertford on the St Albans road A414. Turn right at the roundabout into Thieves Lane. Look for the white direction signs. Bus stop in Thieves Lane. Hertford train station 3/4 mile. the suggested walking route is about 6 km/4 miles.
