Balcary Bay to Rascarrel has a diverse range of habitats. From Dumfries take A711 SW for 15 miles. Car parking at Balcary or Rascarrel. Click on the P in the map for directions. From Dalbeattie, bus 505 runs 7 times a day to Auchencairn.
The circular walk is 4 and 1/2 miles. NB the clifftop section is narrow and steep. Avoid if you have balance problems, children or dogs, also on windy days .
