Description

Beykoz Wood is a good area to observe woodpeckers and forest birds. A nice wood with mature trees, gives great forest feeling with a park facilities. Easy to reach via public transportation after a great boat tour on the Bosphorus. Among the birds you can encounter are Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Syrian Woodpecker, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, Grey-headed Woodpecker, Blackcap, Spotted Flycatcher, Eurasian Jay, Eurasian Nuthatch and Eurasian Treecreeper.

Access

The first option: Take boat from Eminönü, Beşiktaş or Üsküdar to Beykoz. The entrance is in 5 minutes walking distance from the dock. The second option: Take bus from Üsküdar and get off on "Beykoz Korusu" bus stop. The entrance is in 5 minutes walking distance from the stop.
