Description

In Lamburträsk you can see the majority of Lapland’s waders and seabirds as nesting birds or migratory birds on their way north in spring. You can hear the calls of the сив жерав, жолтоклун лебед and Палска (Посебна) гуска echoing over the lake and see waders like шумска тринга, обична бекасина, мала бекасина, голем српоклун свиркач and зеленонога тринга. Almost all of the country's duck birds can be seen in the area. For example бел нуркач, but also birds like црвеноврат нуркач. And large flocks of Red-necked Phalarope rest in the lake on their way to the mountain marshes in the spring.

Access

Lamburträsk lies about 26 kilometres west of Arvidsjaur. Follow road 95 from Arvidsjaur eastwards, turn off road 94 after just over 5 km and then turn right onto the road towards Piesker. Then it is signposted towards Lambur. The road nearest the reserve can be closed during the snowmelting period or during heavy, long-lasting rain. The road block kan be removed, but driving on the road is on your own risk. If the road is closed, you can walk about 3 km from the exit road at Pjesker. The area is easily accessible with hiking trails and birdwatching towers.
