Interesting area of the Marismas de Santoña, Victoria and Joyel National Park. It includes an observatory that most birdwatchers should not miss.
Marismas de Escalante has two or three quite interesting observation points, from which it is possible to better understand one of the most important Natural Parks in Spain, in terms of bird life. From here, you can observe the birds typical of these wetlands, from ducks like Eurasian Wigeon and Gadwall to waders like Grey Plover and Whimbrel.

Access to the main observatory is very easy, as it has a walkway that leads directly to the streets of the village of Escalante, where there are parking spaces. If you want to explore more, you can go into areas that are somewhat marshy and with less easy access.
