Description
The bird hide at Casa Gerbe is surrounded by mountains, river, lake, forests, farm fields. Depending on the time of year and the water level of the reservoir, different types of birds can be observed. Among the birds that have been seen from the hide are Great Crested Grebe, Grey Heron, Great Egret, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Eurasian Jay, Rock Sparrow, European Robin, Cirl Bunting, European Goldfinch, Eurasian Siskin, Great Tit, Coal Tit, Eurasian Blue Tit, Crested Tit, Dunnock, Hawfinch, Brambling, Blackbird, Common Nightingale, Grey Wagtail, Sparrowhawk, Common Buzzard, Egyptian Vulture, Red Kite and Black Kite. Access
Casa Gerbe is located close to the village of Gerbe and can be reached by car, there is parking. There is also a circular walking route through the surrounding area of 4 km (described in a separate entry on Birdingplaces).
