The Broekpolder is a large polder (400 hectare) near Vlaardingen, with a diverse landscape, popular with waterfowl.
While walking through the woods and near the lakes of the Broekpolder, you can encounter waterfowl such as Common Teal, Northern Pintail and Eurasian Spoonbill, and other birds such as Linnet, Icterine Warbler, Eurasian Hobby and Golden Oriole.

Nederlands: De Broekpolder is een grote polder (400 hectare) bij Vlaardingen, met een divers landschap, zeer in trek bij watervogels. Wandelend door de bossen en langs de meren van de Broekpolder kom je watervogels tegen zoals Common Teal, Northern Pintail en Eurasian Spoonbill, en andere vogels zoals Linnet, Icterine Warbler, Eurasian Hobby en Golden Oriole.
The area is accessible by car, and one can go for a bike ride through the polder. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can explore the whole area on foot by a circular walk of 8,5 km (see the map below).

Bij drukte kun je het beste parkeren op de grote parkeerplaats bij restaurant de Polderpoort. Je kunt het hele gebied te voet verkennen via een rondwandeling van 8,5 km (zie onderstaande kaart).
