In this coastal area you can see waders, raptors, gulls, passerines and many other species. I made a first record there few months ago of a Caspian Tern.
Aarida is a coastal strip along the Mediterranean in the north of Lebanon. This is an important area during autumn migration. Many birds may change direction there and may leave or receive new species. Among the birds you can encounter are White Stork, Black-winged Stilt, Sanderling, Grey Plover, Common Ringed Plover, Kentish Plover, Little Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Common Greenshank, Slender-billed Gull, Grey Wagtail, Common Kingfisher, but also birds like Black-bellied Sandgrouse.
You can reach it by car easily and park on the side of the road. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
