Description
Lessinia Regional Nature Park is very rich in birds and many special birds can be seen here. Black Woodpecker, Boreal Owl, Eagle Owl, Golden Eagle, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Red-footed Falcon, Black Grouse, Western Capercaillie, Hazel Grouse, European Roller, Eurasian Goshawk, Rock Partridge, White-winged Snowfinch, Alpine Accentor, Nutcracker, Corn Crake, Common Rock Thrush, White-throated Dipper, Western Bonelli's Warbler, Dotterel, Black-eared Wheatear, Red-backed Shrike, Great Grey Shrike, Wallcreeper . . . all these and more, depending on the season. Plus marmot, deer, chamois, red squirrel, wild boar and wolves, and an astonishing array of butterflies, orchids and other wildlife.
