Description
The road towards Makara is a great route to search for many typical inland breeding species that inhabit the drier parts of the island, like Chukar, Black-eared Wheatear and Western Rock Nuthatch. The rocky outcrops are a great spot for Blue Rock Thrush and Cretzschmar's Bunting. The small scattered bushes are good for migrating Whinchat, Northern Wheatear and European Stonechat.
Further down the road, the road lies adjacent to a shallow valley with scattered trees, and several small groves. These areas are great for migrants, like European Bee-eater, Eurasian Hoopoe, shrikes, warblers, swallows, swifts and flycatchers.
