Medium seized lake surrounded by reedbeds and low intensity agricultural land. Great spot to see Black Tern and Little Gull in the spring.
The Postsee is an excellent area to look at waterfowl all year round. During the summer months many passerines can be found in the reeds, scrubs and forest patches. A great spot to listen for Thrush Nightingale and Great Bittern.
Difficult by public transportation (Bus station Sieversdorf Dorfstraße) or 3km to train station (Preetz). Limited parking in Sieversdorf. Some of the viewpoints are difficult to access due to sand or muddy ground.
