The Berger Hang is characterized by wide meadow orchards and semi-arid grassland and is of national importance in its biodiversity.
Nature reserve Berger Hang is the former steep bank of an old Main arm. The reserve is about 10 ha in size and consists of grasslands loosely interspersed with fruit trees and other tree species and hedges. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Yellowhammer, Red-backed Shrike, Common Redstart, Common Cuckoo, Red Kite, European Goldfinch, Common Nightingale and Blackcap.
Park on the main road or in Bergen-Enkheim. Click on the P in the map for directions. Access only possible on foot. Several paths cross the area.
