Description

Mannakoski lintutorni is a small bird observation tower beside the Muonionjoki river. You see open riverbanks, marshy pools and wooded areas with dwarf birch. A small but rewarding stop, especially in May–June, when migrating birds move along the river. It is a good place to observe Ruff. Other birds you can see include Common Goldeneye, Eurasian Teal, Common Sandpiper, Wood Sandpiper, Common Snipe and Western Yellow Wagtail.
