The Alte Aare near Aarberg is an interesting area for birdwatchers. Thanks to the variety of habitats - water, reeds, floodplain forest - many bird species find food, breeding grounds and resting places here. The area is particularly exciting during the migration periods in spring and autumn, when numerous migratory birds stop over.
